The number of churned youth accounts spikes at 10.3 million in 2011. Operators will lose $1.3 billion in 2010 due to churned accounts. Operator loss will increase to $1.6 billion in 2012. The increase in number of churned accounts from 2006 has been partly due to introduction of Mobile Number Portability and partly due to mobile youth searching for the cheapest plans available.
