At the Mobile World Congress 2009, the GSMA and NTT DOCOMO will present the findings of an extensive international research project comparing the use of mobile phones by children aged 10-18 in Japan, Korea, China, India and Mexico.
The research compares usage of different mobile phone services and evaluates the lifestyle impacts of mobile usage on children in these countries. Comparisons between high-penetration and low-penetration markets involved in the study demonstrate clear trends in uptake and effect, which will be of interest to regulators and mobile operators globally, and to those interested in understanding more about the mobile youth market.
