If you’ve ever wanted to watch the content on your smartphone on a much larger screen then you’ll be happy to know that it is a simple process. Read the following instructions and then you can connect Samsung S8 to your TV in no time.

Screen Mirroring (Miracast)

The easiest way to connect Samsung S8 to TV is to use the built-in Miracast function. As long as you have a Smart TV that supports screen-mirroring and have updated your Samsung S8 to the latest firmware then you can use this method with ease.

Make sure that your Smart TV and your S8 are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Swipe down the quick menu from the top of the screen to access “Smart View”

Note that some smart TVs that are compatible with Miracast need to be set up beforehand. Check the settings menu of your TV and search for any pages called Screen Sharing (Smart View) or something along those lines.

With Roku, this is done by going into Settings, then System and finally Screen Mirroring. After you open the screen mirroring settings, choose a setting to adjust.

If you don’t own and don’t wish to purchase any of the necessary accessories mentioned above, then you can always resort to using an HDMI adapter. This is a male-to-male USB to HDMI cable that directly plugs your S8 phone into your TV. They are cheaper than other adapters and the process is relatively straightforward.

Make sure to specifically purchase a USB Type C cable as this newer model works best with Samsung Galaxy S8 phones.

Plug the phone into your TV using the adapter then select the corresponding HDMI port on your TV from its Settings menu. This is how you connect S8 to your TV in no time.
